Important Arcs of Bleach

The entire Bleach franchise flows across 74 volumes of the manga. And these 74 volumes comprise all the 17 arcs available in the series. Here’s a list of all the most important arcs in the series.

If you are a fan of Bleach then make sure that you watch all these arcs at all costs.

1. Agent of the Shinigami arc

This arc is the point from which it all started for us. This is where Ichigo first fell into the world of Shinigami by accident. His transformation into a Shinigami is one of the most revolutionary moments in anime history. This arc focuses on the minute details of that incident in great detail.

In fact, it is said that his spiritual powers are so impressive that they end up attracting a lot of unnecessary enemies. Soon enough, Ichigo ends up being a part of a school where he will be refined to be an amazing Soul Reaper.

And that’s how Ichigo Kurosaki manages to secure his name in this arc and the story unfolds itself for the audience.

2. Soul Society: The Sneak Entry arc

Considered by many as one of the best arcs in the entire series, we have the introduction of the Soul Society arc. This is where things start to take some interesting turns for the audience.

Ichigo, Chad, Orihime, Uru, and Yoruichi happen to reach Soul Society. However, their entrance ends up getting affected by an unexpected hitch. Moreover, things get complicated with the passage of time as our crew tries to pave their way through this place.

Sosuke Aizen is a notable character in this arc and although his death is portrayed here, things will be much different in real time.

3. Soul Society: The Rescue arc

This arc begins with a lot of hassle between Yoruichi and Ichigo as they end up fighting each other without any regard whatsoever. Moreover, this arc gains more value when Hitsugaya goes up against Captain Gin Ichimaru.

Although it is believed by Hitsugaya that Gin is the reason why Aizen is dead, there’s a lot more to the story than what meets the eye. Moreover, there’s a lot going on between Rukia and Renji as well.

Things are not on track as various Shinigami officers are fighting each other. And that’s why everyone is appreciating the show so much.

4. The Bount arc

This is the point where things take some interesting turns for the audience. The story talks about Bount, a race that will shape the way we look at the series altogether.

This race is known for its special ability that allows it to extend its lives by consuming human souls. Now that’s frightening. And this is why the entire arc is going to be a memorable experience for the audience as well as for the characters in the story.

Let’s just say that Ichigo and his friends won’t really gel in with Bounts all that much. But let’s see where things go for them.

5. The Bount: Assault on Soul Society arc

The Bounts are not going to stop. And this arc is going to make you understand it very well. This arc talks about Bount, a race that seems to be using Human Souls for the sake of their life extension.

And that’s why this entire show is so attractive to the audience. These guys will be heading into the Soul Society and making the most out of their attempt as they invade the place with all their might.

And just a friendly reminder, the Soul Society is the place where Soul Reapers reside so this entire arc is going to be filled with a lot of fun and story within it.

6. Arrancar: The Arrival arc

The Arrancar will be making its way into the core storyline in this arc. Ichigo is approached by a man who seems to be possessing both the abilities of a Shinigami as well as a Hollow.

This is where things start to get interesting since Shinji, the man who seems to have that type of physical structure, does seem to have a lot going on for him.

After all, he does look like Arrancar. And if you don’t know, Arrancar are creatures that happen to have the abilities of Hollows and Shinigami as well. This is why the story is going to take some interesting turns for the audience.

7. Arrancar: The Hueco Mundo Sneak Entry arc

This arc is all about the rescue of Orihime as she is captured by Aizen’s forces. And that’s one of the many reasons why this arc is going to be a game-changer for the audience.

This is going to be fun as we watch Ichigo, Chad, Ishida, and Rukia as well as Renji, pave their way into Hueco Mundo. However, here’s the catch. These guys will be meeting a new Arrancar named Nel.

And soon enough, Nel will become a part of the group and help the team prevail in its goals. Therefore, Aizen’s Stronghold is going to be a place that will experience a lot of killing very soon.

8. Arrancar: The Fierce Fight arc

The name is quite appropriate for this arc as we see all the characters trying their best to survive in this game. These guys would have to go all out or else, they won’t have a chance.

The idea here is that Ichigo and his friends are against a place called Las Noches. They would have to enter a door and fight what’s behind it. And so, all of them decide to select one door and go for it.

The catch is, the enemy that they face is so powerful that if they don’t give their hundred percent against him, their defeat is inevitable. This is what makes the Fierce Fight arc so impressive.

9. The New Captain Shūsuke Amagai arc

This story is a lot more interesting than you might have expected it to be. The show talks about a new captain named Shusuke Amagai in this arc. And this man is going to experience a lot in this arc as we see him strive to improvise things for his squad.

He is from Squad 3 and that would explain his presence in the show. Unfortunately, his actions result in the entire Gotei 13 getting into some serious trouble. Needless to say, Ichigo and his gang also become prone to this incident.

And soon enough, mysteries start to unfold themselves.

10. Arrancar vs. Shinigami arc

This entire arc will focus a lot on Nel as we get to see Nel’s true identity and realize her true form. Initially, the story starts with just a recap of whatever has happened so far.

However, from that point forward, things get a lot more interesting as we see Nel experiencing mental pain and suffering by watching Ichigo being beaten by Nnorita. Moreover, this story will continue to make things more and more fun as we see Nel in her true form, going up against Nnorita in a dire attempt to save Ichigo.

And this is just the beginning of an incredible arc filled with battle and excitement.

11. The Past arc

This is where the story takes a 360-degree turn for once. The show talks about the events of the past that shaped the way things are today. The show focuses on Aizen as we see him betray his captain and various other people who were close to him.

And this was done by Aizen forcing these people to go for the Hollowfication process. Moreover, we will also experience the mystery surrounding a lot of characters such as Kisuke Urahara and Hogyoku.

You wouldn’t wanna miss out on this arc at all as it dives deep into the narrative that sets the story apart.

12. Arrancar: Decisive Battle of Karakura arc

This arc talks about Urahara and his approach to the situation he is facing. We will be seeing him perform some activities that will shape the way we look at the series.

While Ichigo and his gang are present back in Hueco Mundo, Urahara is trying his best to prepare a group that will allow him to defend his town from Hollows.

There’s a reason why people appreciate the show so much. Moreover, when the group does come to know about the situation, it is already too late. And that’s why the entire anime will be flipped upside down in this arc.

13. Zanpakutō Unknown Tales arc

The name of this arc is quite appropriate as it does dive deep into the events focusing on the Zanpakuto spirits. It is said that during this arc, the Zanpakuto spirits and their owners show up to the battle.

And this is where things get tough for Muramasa as well after he loses control of all the hollows that were under him. From that point forward, a new herd seems to have taken over the place and everything is falling apart.

After witnessing all of this, Muramasa loses his mind and gains a hollow-like form himself that allows him to step up his game.

14. Arrancar: Downfall arc

Things will get crazy in this arc as we see various characters coming into the spotlight in this anime. Firstly, we will be experiencing a legendary battle between Ichigo and Ulquiorra.

And soon enough, we will be seeing the Espada face their demise as Aizen entered the battlefield. This man is a beast and so, he will make sure that he destroys anyone and everyone who stands against him.

Moreover, things will gain a lot more emotional value as all our beloved characters will be facing someone or the other with all of their might. Now that’s fascinating.

15. Gotei 13 Invading Army arc

This arc will focus on Gotei 13 and act as a defining point for them. After all, this battle is a lot more intimidating than what meets the eye. The show talks about Gotei 13, along with Ichigo, relaxing as they just faced off against Aizen.

And soon enough, these guys will be experiencing the beauty of life as the troubles just keep coming in. the imposters in Gotei 13 surface and go against their real-life counterparts.

However, this is going to be an interesting battle as these guys would have to make sure that they save themselves from being perceived as imposters. And that’s where all the fun lies for this arc of the anime.

Make sure that you watch it.

16. The Lost Substitute Shinigami arc

This arc will be perceived as a filler by a lot of fans. However, in reality, it isn’t. It is an official canon arc that talks about the struggles of Ichigo as he tries to get what he lost.

Unfortunately, our boy ended up losing his Soul Reaper powers. And things are going horrible for him now. However, he is not a loser who would just quit. Instead, he is a beast who will make the most out of his attempts and make sure that he gets his powers back again.

My man is a monster and the entire arc is going to be proof of that sentiment. Make sure that you watch it.

17. The Thousand-Year Blood War arc

This is one of the best arcs in the entire series. And that’s why it is so crucial for the audience. The Thousand Year Blood War arc focuses on Soul Society as it takes a negative turn for everyone else.

This place is losing its calm and going full-on aggro against the world, causing a war to break out and this war will be so formidable that even the Soul Palace is not immune from it.

However, we will also experience some new forms that include Quincy’s final form called Vollstandig. And that’s just one of the many reasons why this arc is so amazing.
